Officer Will Driver, a veteran of the Georgia Department of Probation came to speak to the ‘Introduction to Law’ class at ECCHS on March 10, 2015.  He shared his background and job duties with these students.  As a Marine Veteran, former Elberton Police Officer, Elbert County Sheriff's Department employee and finally moving up within the Department of Probation, Mr. Driver has a lot of background and experience to share with students who might be interested in a career in Law Enforcement.

Mr. Driver emphasized the need for students to graduate from high school and continue their education afterwards.  "When I was in High School, all you needed to get a job was a High School diploma.  Today, if you want to have a career that you enjoy and can eventually retire from, a college education, a Bachelor's Degree, is almost mandatory.  It hasn't always been like this, but that is the world we live in now".

ECCHS would like to thank Officer Driver for his time and willingness to speak to our students!
